I would love to learn an instrument while I'm stuck inside all the time. I'd love a suggestion for an instrument that is fun to play alone, doesn't require a lot of space, and isn't terribly loud (as I live in an apartment building). I'm not too interested in learning guitar. Stylisitically, I'd like to play blues/rock/folk sounds.
I played piano for five or six years when I was young (7-12ish) and I played bass for a year in middle school. I also played the mandolin for a year in college, before my instrument broke. I used to know how to read music, so I'm sure I could pick it up again with some study and practice.
Any suggestions or resources would be appreiciated.
