Hello!!!! Just a quick/ simple question hopefully someone can answer for me. I play the piano, I took lessons for about twelve years and became quite proficient..... but you know life happens. A once demanding yet fulfilling hobby kind of got pushed aside. However with all this free time on my hands due to the quarantine, I decided to incorporate practice time into my schedule. With that being said it is basically like riding a bike, but there are certainly things I have forgotten.
I have picked a couple of popular performance pieces to learn/ memorize, and I am having trouble identifying some the note annotation/ ornament symbols.
In this picture I circled some symbols I am not too sure of. Are the rest? Accents? Trills? Breaks in phrasing? I have listened to the actual song a billion times, and I know there are fancy little techniques scattered throughout this song (Perfect Day by Lou Reed). I just want to know the correct name and how to properly perform them. Thanks for all the help, I never thought this quarantine would bring out my love for playing the piano 😊❤️🎶helpppp
