For the past 3 days I was certain that I wanted a piano (Keyboard), did a lot of research and found some really interesting ones.
But since last night I guess my mood switched a bit and I started to listen to heavier songs (think Trivium) and I watched TheDooo a lot and then I started to lean more towards the guitar again.
I listen to music every day for many many hours, the type of music I listen to mostly is rock/metal (Breaking Benjamin. Disturbed. Trivium) music from Anime or other Japanese (rock) music but also plenty of music that has both and some that only have a piano in it and piano covers because it just sounds.. really nice.. Piano music often sounds more.. emotional? Expressive? Compared to just a guitar and I love listening to piano covers off anime.
I don't really listen to classical music though there are some pieces that sound amazing. Whatever instrument I do end up buying i'd love to learn to play some songs from Some Anime openings, music from games like The Last of Us and songs from bands I like.
I've been listening to covers with the piano and the guitar, trying to compare the two and trying to figure out what i'd prefer but I can't seem to decide anymore. I want to pick 1 and try to learn on it every day, knowing me it's going to be very difficult to learn any instrument.
How can I figure out what I want to learn? I don't want to invest 600 euro to after a few months think that I should've gone for the other instrument.. I will have to learn the instrument without a teacher. Rocksmith seems like a very helpful and fun way to learn the guitar.
What would you recommend me? Any tips? Advice?
I appreciate the help and I hope you're having a great day :)
