Hello 😊
I am trying to learn how to sight read fairly quickly for an audition in the future (idk the exact day, so let’s say in six months). I know how to play most chords, major scales, and some basic music theory, but I barely know anything about reading music. I need to be able to play a jazz standard accompaniment piece, which is just the chords and the bass notes (the standard they gave me was the accompaniment to the song “Mood Indigo”). Do you think that this would be possible? Also, what are some resources I could use to learn how to sight read (I teach myself) and how many hours a day should I be practicing? Thanks!
