So I've decided to dip my toe a bit into music and theory, and an immediate roadblock I've run into is telling major and minor thirds apart by ear. I haven't put that much practice overall into it, but spending hours trying to tell the difference and doing only slightly better than chance is pretty disheartening. No matter what attribute or quality I try to focus on, I still get a lot of false positives/negatives. Is there a way to try and learn to hear the difference that might be better than just throwing myself at an interval training app?
