Sometimes they are on the LH, but then the RH loses my sight and feels weird and I I have to “practice without seeing it”, which throws me off. Same thing happens if, for this particular bar, I look over and try looking at the RH instead. So I’m not sure which side to look at and learn as I practice the piece and go from bar to bar.
I see many great players on YouTube with sheet music out in front of them, assuming THIS is where there eyes are 90%+ of the time?
Is the answer then.... neither? To look ahead and train myself this way, to never see the keys as I play?
