Outside of the mixing and all that noise, what makes you stand out as a producer? I'd like to read about how your tracks contain your identity. Is it your workflow that makes your songs special, the sounds, the atmosphere, etc.
As for myself, I use a lot of samples from tv shows/cartoons to add a special characteristic to the song to evoke feelings and shape the atmosphere. I also use a lot of Folies and other random noise to help with the track energy. Also this helps my chord progression not feel so repetitive and stagnant because I usually just alternate between two chords in the focal parts of the song.
