Hey everyone,
I'm currently looking for some new, creative production techniques. So who's your favorite producer and what's the coolest technique you learned from them?
I'll start off.
I definitely look up to Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers (gonna get a lot of hate for this but whatever haha). A technique I borrowed from him was to sidechain/duck the chords on every down beat but write a drum groove that doesn't follow the "four on the floor" pattern. It creates a nice vibe and bounce if you're into producing electropop and future bass tracks.
