Hey everyone! I recently had a friend pick up the OP-1 from TE and when he brought it to my place to play around with, I was absolutely mesmerized.
I really want to get into production alongside him, as we are both new to the idea and would benefit from learning together, but I'm wondering if the OP-1 is right for me?
I saw Cody Ko using the Omnisphere 2 in one of his latest videos and it caught my attention. It seemed (at least in format) Iike how I had always pictured the production of music to look like, ie: dragging & dropping sounds rather than recording them live like with the OP-1.
Does anyone have experience with either of these two products that can lend some insider info? I know that Omnisphere 2 is a product you download to your laptop, so will I need an individual Keyboard and Drum Pad to supplement that purchase? Thank you in advance!
TL;DR- Are either the OP-1 or the Omnisphere 2 ideal for an absolute EDM production amateur? What are the differences, and will I have to buy additional equipment for the Omnisphere 2?
