So I'm more or less a beginner when it comes to producing but I feel like I'm progressing. However, when I try to compare my track with others in the same genre (with intention to learn from them and apply to my own songs) I tend to fail recognizing how widen each sound in the mix actually are. Vocals are pretty easy to hear as they are often solid in the middle (somewhat mono). But very often there are sounds that I just can't figure out. So my question is, is there a plugin or a technique to make this process for me any easier? Do you fellow producers have any pro-tip regarding this? Please share!
