As the title says, I️ have been producing music for almost 2 years now. First year and a half of that was dedicated to learning music theory and worked on my compositions. During this time I️ only made hip hop instruments. About 6 months ago I️ started making EDM music and I️ am enjoying I️t a lot. However, I️ have learned threw trial and error that it’s time I️ learn sound design. I️ have a basic understanding about my synth (massive) and have watched many tutorials on how to make certain synths. But I️ want to know the nuts and bolts of sound design. I️ want to know the theory behind why things are done the way they are so I️ can make whatever sound is currently in my head. Does anyone have any good resources, arrivals, YouTube videos, etc about sound design that would help me out? Thank you so much for your time. TLDR: Wanting to learn more about sound design fundamentals so I️ don’t have to watch videos and recreate synths, but rather be able to make whatever sound I️ need from scratch.
