One of the ways I'm teaching myself music production is to try and reproduce songs I like, including non-dance music. Currently I'm trying to reproduce The Cars - Let's Go. I have managed to suss out the synth from this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4Az7V-qCLk&list=RDH4Az7V-qCLk&t=5 but I'm having trouble with the drums. Can anyone recommend a good way to reproduce drums? My current technique is to watch covers like this one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZPv2ZspLSK), and try to reproduce it in Ableton, but it's quite slow and painstaking (although I'm still learning as I'm going). Is there a more efficient way to do it?
