This is going to be extremely difficult to explain so let me know if you don't understand what I mean:
Fabian Mazur & LUUDE - Right Now
Helena Legend - RU Feeling It (feat LYRE) (This track is less so than the other 2)
Hellberg - The Girl (feat. Cozi Zuehlsdorff) (Color Source Remix)
These 3 drops in these songs are all trap songs but unlike other trap songs the drop's sound dramatic, ominous and almost depressing. Not dramatic in that it's got a massive buildup and contrast for the drop, but instead that they sound very edgy and context heavy.
It's really difficult for me to explain what I mean here and I hope you kinda understand what I mean when I say that they are "tragic" and all because there's clearly something different about these kinds of songs from other e-trap songs that I can't really put my finger on. My main question is this:
What is it that causes them to sound this way?
Is it the kind of chord progression? Is it because of the airy ambience in the background? Is it because of pure coincidence? Or is it that I'm just talking out of my ass right now... I honestly can't tell what it is that makes them sound this way
If anyone has any suggestions of what it could be, what this sub-genre is called or some other tracks that also fit this criteria, I would love to hear what you have.
Thanks, and I apologise for the vague question
