any tips or advice? namely, I’m trying to compose a bass house drop for an existing electro house track, sort of like stuff by joyryde, mercer, tchami, badjokes to name a few. I know it won’t sound anything like their amazing work but anything to get the ball rolling would be appreciated, I need to start somewhere! watching video tutorials seems easy enough but it seems like they know what every feature already does and that’s where I lose them.
I have tried composing a mashup or two where I literally jam two tracks together that sound similar enough that they complement each other nicely with the simplest of splicing, but it’s super uncreative and there are a lot of things to improve as they still don’t sound that great but without knowing where to start it’s hard to do anything.
