Im a total noob when it comes to production and Im trying to make sense of this step-by-step guide im following: https://ask.audio/articles/building-edm-chord-progressions-in-logic-pro
Step 4 "Choosing a scale"
- Regarding scales, so a scale is a set of notes that Logic find correct to be used together and locks them?
Step 5 - Whats a Root key?
- How does he know what notes to choose when filling up those 4 bars? The last note on the 3rd bar differs in position when compared to the other notes.
Step 6
- Why does he press Q when highlighting all notes? He says: "this will move any notes not in the scale either up or down to a correct note!". What does this mean? Can Logic detect incorrect notes? Does this work even without a "scale"?
Step 7 "Chord Trigger"
- I dont get it. Does the Chord Trigger FX tell me what notes sound good together? Just like a scale does? Whats the difference?
Thats all I have for now :)
Cheers!
