When I get a kick from a sample pack, i've been placing my notes on the piano roll at "C3". Does this affect the key of the kick?
I usually put my kicks through "Mixed In Key" to find out what key they are in, and assumed that placing them on C3 meant they stayed in their original key. Is this right? Or do I have to place them on the correct note in the piano roll?
