So,
I might be in the market for a new daw. I currently run Cubase 8 pro but have been having issues with it on my computer for some time now.
I was thinking about selling my versions of 8 pro and elements 6 and swapping to Ableton.
I figured out that I am actually wicked quick at synthesizing--kind of thanks to working with the same synth for around 8 years or so--and am really drawn to the possibility of doing an "actual" live show via Ableton's session view (I think that's what they call it?).
So, I dig this idea quite a bit...Improv if you will.
My only concern is that my time in Ableton lite has shown me that I really appreciate the professionalism of Cubase compared to the casual nature of Ableton.
So, I guess...I was curious to know if anybody has been in a boat similar to this and could throw some perspective my way. I don't like switching daws--I don't think anybody does--so I'd really like to be happy with the purchase.
Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated :).
Thanks! Hope you're having a good day :).
