Hey fellow humans,
So, sorry for bothering you with the age old "which faptop shuld i git".
Anyways, I had recently bought a Gigabyte Aero 15 laptop, with the intent of using it as a gaming/production laptop. I'm pursuing sound design for games, so having a gaming laptop is...well, not too important honestly. Still would like one though!
Long story short, the Gigabyte was having all sorts of compatibility issues with both my Mix Pre 6 and my UA Apollo Twin MKII, both on Ableton and Pro Tools. After a lot of research and many attempts at fixing said issues, I decided to return the laptop. Not worth the frustration.
I was a few days past my return window, but NewEgg was nice enough to offer a return for store credit. So, before I buy the open box MacBook pro and save up for a gaming PC down the line, I was hoping to see if anyone has a pretty good gaming PC that is ALSO a stable music production machine.
Also, I do produce music as well, should've probably mentioned that. I usually just lurk on this sub.
TLDR: What's a stable and reliable Windows Laptop for music production I can get from NewEgg? Bonus points if it can handle high end games too. Budget is 2k
