I'm frustrated with all the options in the market lacking one or another. And being bloated with features I don't need.
I have no engineering background, but let's say I have money, what are the type of services or people I should find to make my own midi controller? Not some wooden unaesthetic DIY looking one like those of Moldover, but some real sleek one that looks like the new Maschine Mk 3 for example.
Let's say I can design the product's looks and layouts using a 3d software. And all the buttons are just generic midi CCs like a Launchpad usermode as I write my own softwares for whatever functions I want (step-sequencing, etc)...
So basically, all I'm looking for is people to make all the circuits and the case (and buttons) itself. Or maybe even rip from other hardwares. How much do you think it would cost me?
What I want is an Ableton push standard 64 pad controller with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch, with leds, some unlabeled buttons, knobs and APC40-like faders, pitch/modulation wheels, focusrite quality 2 in 4 out soundcard with I/Os and footpedal. No display screens or anything like that. That's all.
I'm not looking to mass manufacture it or anything, it's just for my own use. Where can I look into?
