So, as soon as I add three layers of mids and highs I really lose track of how to make it sound good. I currently have a lead thats just a sytrus saw with unison and two copies that are lower and higher pitched, a pad thats playing some low notes and a plucked melody and to my ears it is not great, so I do not even wanna know how it sounds to advanced producers. I have been producing for four months I would say in FL12. I would like some tips on how to avoid clashing and on the other hand not Eq too much. I only know fruity Eq 2 and wave candy to check for frequencies and both kinda do not work that great for me. are there any free tools that do a better job visually? Also, this might be dumb but for example when I Eq something the Eq frequencies in the plugin and on the mixer track seem decent so frequencies are cut out, but when I mute all other channels besides the one with the Eq and put an Eq on the master to check, it still shows the lows and highs. Is that normal? Does the master show the frequencies of the the muted instruments as well?
Thanks in advance
