I have a spoken word vocal sample that I have been trying to clean up for a few days now. I've tried noise reduction a few ways, different compression settings, but the background noise is still too loud and is audible in the mix. Any advice on how to clean it up

The background noise is ambient pad sounds, but I can't seem to make it work without losing the feel of what the speaker says. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks and Much love.
