Hi everybody, I would like to ask for a little help.
I've been trying to recreate sounds with Serum from this piece of music (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dun_65C1X7c) for few hours, but my sound design skills are not as good as I assumed. Could you give me some tips on recreating three of these sounds?
Here they are: - plucky solo sound (0:00 - 0:09) - my approach to recreation of this sound was based on the sound of synthesized marimba and some other plucks, but I failed on that one miserably, - vintage pad sound (0:09 - 0:19) - for me this one is a hard nut to crack, I still don't know where I should start with that one, but I think that maybe some synthwave pads will do the thing, - background sound (0:20 - 1:00) - hardest one to recreate, lack of simplicity and complexity in my sound design at once has led me to feeling more and more stuck, when it comes to ideas, I still don't have any. (Chorus is too hard for me to take up, I will leave it for a while).
Where can I search for resources about japanese-esque sound design and how can I improve myself without ripping off properties from popular presets or creating them again step by step with a little twist?
