Whenever there's a trend, you sometimes see it surface all at once. Why is that? How is that achieved?
How do you even spot a potential trend?
If people say "don't follow trends," then how come we're exempt but others are not?
I like the saying: "By the time you've mastered a trend, it's over." This is so true to an extent, but I'm also a little double-minded on the subject. I understand both sides: those who desire to adhere to trends, and those who do not. Trends are often stylistic traits which can easily be manipulated and expressed in your own way. But they will also keep you artistically bound if followed religiously.
I'm still not sure, so what are your thoughts?
