I've been working off a pair of m-audio BX5a, which have served me amazing up until now, but I recently stepped up my interface and microphones (I'm on the Clarett 8pre now) and I figured it was time to upgrade my monitors as well.
I have a budget of around 5-600 total, and I'm ok with used gear as well.
I'd like it to be good in the lower ranges, namely the 50-150 Hz area, so the Yamaha NS10s probably aren't a great fit.
The ones I've been looking at are the Yamaha hs8 and the mackie hr824s (first edition probably).
Are there other good options that I can get new and/or used?
What do you guys think of the mackies and yamahas?
