Im contemplating purchasing some Dynaudio BM5 MKiii from the local classifieds.
My only reservation is that I checked the back panel on Google Images and it has a 2-prong outlet for power instead of the USUAL 3-prong.
This is incredibly unusual and not even the cheapy KRK RP-5 have a 2-prong.
According to Dynaudio: "The receptacle’s ground pin is removed to thwart ground loops; to prevent electric shock, double insulation barriers shield the conductive internal components."
What do you guys think? Did they cheap out on the amplifier for the BM5? As you can see below, the BM6 MKiii have the usual 3-prong outlet. Other than the BM Compact, these are the only modern studio monitors I've seen with a 2-prong.
IS THIS A BIG DEAL?? My entire purchase is depending on this.
