Line of inquiry for my university project, considering the benefits of midi vs traditional scoring....obviously for those who cannot read music midi is perhaps easier cause you can see note names etc, however for those who can read music it's possibly limiting? Also with scoring (eg in sibellius/finale), you have a much more holistic visual representation of the music as opposed to say Ableton or Reason (I know FL has ghost note editor and Logic has score function) any thoughts would be welcome ...
