Ok so my way of writing music is to select a scale (Aeolian , beacuse I have heard that EDM is written in Minor) and choosing root ( let say G) and then writing chords and melody while remaining in Gm scale for whole the time (sometimes I use passing chords nut just sometimes). So does it mean my song is in Gm?
Confusion is that can we change the scale while remaining in the same root? I was watching a Pyramid video , where he broke CHAINSMOKERS CLOSER . He Said "Chainsmokers have remained in the same scale for the full song (i.e Fm) and used the single chrods." So I want to know that is it possible to change scales while writing chords?
