Ok so a bit about my story. I grew up playing Violin learned through the Suzuki Method. I'm very good at playing by ear, and hearing a song and poking it out, but reading music breaks my brain a bit. When I turned 30, I got a piano and started taking piano lessons - a lifelong dream. I took lessons for a bit, had a weird thing happen with my teacher, stopped for a bit, and I'm feeling like I want to get back into it. My lessons from my teacher were sheet music reading, and it got to a point where I was pretty decent. But I feel like going back to it now, it's gone again. I feel like as if I had forgotten how to type, and I have to look at the keyboard and poke at each key one at a time (reading the bars and going "OK E G B D F...". And don't even get me started when you go below or above the top of the normal middle C -> B - my brain just breaks and I'm like "What?".
Anyways, I don't want to waste my time wading through videos so I'm hoping someone has a good course they can recommend - either free or paid. I just want to be able to pick up a sheet of music at some point and play it, as opposed to sitting there poking at keys. I got to a point in my previous lessons where I was playing Chopin Nocturnes and Eric Satie and Beethoven, so I know I have the chops, I just don't have a teacher now and don't want to get one for the time being.
Thanks!
