I'm somewhat a beginner to intermediate guitarist and currently writing and recording my own black metal album. I don't know anything about bass but obviously I need a bass for my tracks to get more 'umph'.
Can anyone recommend a decent bass for around $150? Or £100ish? Prefer black, and the more evil looking the better. Second hand is fine.
I don't want to become that good at it, I just want to hit the notes for my tracks and learn the basics really. For example this song:

The first 20 seconds are bass guitar only, so it's just learning to play notes like that, nothing complicated, it sounds pretty easy to me personally, but if anyone can advise or has any tips that would be much appreciated:)
