Feeling uninspired lately? I know I have. I've been sitting down at my computer to compose and having nothing to show for it, its definitely been pretty frustrating. Especially when I compare this to the months where I can seemingly make music daily no problem.
I know that a lot of the time, 'inspiration' comes after action, but I think there are still some ways to boost our motivation/creativity when it comes to making music.
I made a video on the topic, going through various ways we can change up our musical routines. check it out if you're interested! : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwg9lR8XJ_Y
For me, one of the best ways to get out of a rut like this, is to actually go see some live music. Feeling the energy of the crowd and the virtuosity of the musicians, is almost always a cure for me when it comes to feeling uninspired.
What actions do you take when you feel uninspired? How do you get out of a musical rut?
