Hey, so I'm a drummer who always wanted to learn melodic instruments. My dream is to someday make my own music with both the guitar and synths like my idol Kevin Parker from Tame Impala does.
I'm only self taught in like six of the most basic guitar chords and have no piano experience whatsoever, so to achieve my goal I wanna take lessons.
The thing is just that I pretty much only have time left for one lesson per week.
Now it appears to be possible to also take lessons once every two weeks at the place I wanna learn, which made me consider alternating between guitar and piano lessons each week (meaning one week of guitar, next week piano, then back to guitar and so on).
Otherwise if I could only choose one to learn right now I'd probably go for the guitar, since I simply want to play it a bit more at the moment. But I'd probably feel bad about missing the piano basics that I'd need for my synth aspirations.
So what's your advice?
Alternating? Full on guitar? Maybe even full on piano (though I somewhat then to the guitar)?
Thank you.
