I'm currently looking into buying a new piano style instrument but feel clueless what I am actually supposed to be looking for. A couple of years ago I sold my digital piano (lack of space) that I enjoyed playing blues and classical pieces on. A couple of friends of mine wanted to start producing music just for fun and asked me if I wanted to play something on the keys that they could play around with. I also would like to just play around with some blues progressions and pop tunes by myself as well.
So to my question: With my lack of space and interest in sending music online to my friends, what type of keyboard/midi-keyboard/synthesizer should I be looking into? Can I produce electronic music with a regular keyboard or would I be better of with a synthesizer or midi-keyboard? What should I be looking for?
