I have no musical talent. I know lots of people say that, but like I seriously have no talent to the point where it's almost a disability. My mouth has no talent; I can't even whistle, let alone sing. My fine motor skills are worse; well of a decade of playing video games frequently and I'm about as quick on a controller as someone who started playing last week. I also have no sense of rhythm, I literally can't even clap along with music.
That being said, I've always wanted to be able to play something, anything. So I figure I might as well start trying.
I'd love to play something really portable that can fit in a backpack, something easy to carry with me on outdoor trips that I can practice to pass the time. After doing a tiny bit of research, the Recorder, Harmonica, and Ocarina (4 hole?) all caught my eye as possibilities, and I'm curious what you think between them, but I'm also totally open to suggestions.
tl;dr: What instruments are Easy, Small, and Durable
