I've never really been musical at all, I love music and always wanted to be a musician but everything I picked up I never had the patience for (though I'm not sure I really gave anything a real effort). I can sing a little though. I'm a huge fan of punk, folk, folk-punk and jazz-punk and I would love to play bass and sing like Ben Gallaty from AJJ, not sure if he's any good but it sounds good to me regardless.
Thing is, learning a double-bass seems like a big undertaking, perhaps not technically idk but certainly financially. Would it be wiser to maybe learn a normal bass or violin or something first?
