I'm relatively new to piano and have been learning from the Alfreds adult all in one course for several months now and i'm nearing the end of the book.
One thing i'm noticing with the more difficult pieces and with the few i've attempted from other books is that when attempting a new song is that if there's an E note for example, I don't recognise it as an E note - I have to pause and go through the FACE or ACEG mnemonics in my head to identify most notes and I feel like it's getting worse as I go on, instead of getting better with different kinds of music. Are there any specific exercises I can do to get rid of this habit?
