I've been producing for a solid year now and I haven't improved as much as I would have thought. I produce nearly everyday for a few hours or so after school, and I know a fair bit about music & producing but I really lack in finishing songs and sound designing. I have a bad habit of either making just a buildup/ drop, or I'll just make an intro and move onto another project cause I think "it sounds like sh*t" or I don't know what to with it next. I know that finishing tracks is a must in improving and I'm working on it, but what are some other ways that can really step up my game or improve my production mindset. I'm learning a lot but I'm not improving on my projects that much(does that make sense?).
I'm looking for literally anything that helped you improve, whether it's a certain way of thinking, a youtube channel that you found super useful, attempting to finish a track everyday, or learning how to use a certain vst. If you had the same production habits as I do how did you break out of them? I have a passion for music and I don't want to stop producing, but in my head I don't see myself improving.
