Hey all.
I'm migrating from Logic to Ableton, Mac to PC. I installed an older version of Camel Audio's Alchemy on my PC. It works with Ableton, and opens up fine.
However, I don't have any of the Windows Alchemy presets.
"No worries," I thought. "I'll just move them over from my Mac version, and I'll have all my cherished presets."
Wrong.
I imported everything—over 12GB of data—from Mac to Windows successfully. Alchemy relies heavily on samples, so I brought those along, too. I copied and pasted ALL of the samples, presets, LFOs, etc. etc. from my Mac to my PC.
Lo and behold, Alchemy tells me You can't use these presets. They were made in a newer version of Alchemy. Go to CamelAudio.com to download the latest version.
As you all know, Apple acquired Camel YEARS ago now, and Camel Audio is dead. I have the most up-to-date Windows version available (I think).
Is there a way I can modify the preset files from the newer Mac version to open in the older Windows version? Or am I just fucked, and I can never bring my library along to my new PC?
Thanks for the help.
