So, I've never been huge into electronic music, my friends were never really into it so I was never exposed to it. The other day a song came on, "Against All Logic - Some Kind of Game," and I love it. I've been listening to it and the rest of the album constantly and it's gotten me super interested in exploring more but also actually fiddling around and trying to make my own stuff. The problem is I've never played an instrument or taken music classes or anything, is that a necessity? What's the best way to actually learn? I've looked on youtube and a lot of stuff I've seen requires prior knowledge. How much are songs typically sampled vs. made new by the artist? Or is that something that changes song to song/artist to artist?
