I guess you're familiar with taking a saw or square wave, then increasing number of voices/unison, adding a bit of detune or chorus to achieve that brass-ish or string-ish effect. The problem is they sound majestic as long as there's a good stereo width, but the magic diminishes in mono. It sounds like a continuous LFO modulating the cutoff frequency or volume I'm not sure of. Is there any way to eliminate/minimise this?
