I love music, and I've already spent 1 or 2 years just trying to mess around with Fl until I give up for a couple of weeks afterwards. (After having 30 minute sessions max :/ )
When I try a project, i just sit there, not knowing what to do. Mixing? Mastering? Compression? Mess with strings? Drums? I don't know where to start and it's killing me.
Do I focus on specific parts of the song making process 1 by 1? Do you mash everything together and try to sort things out? Do you simply don't do any complex songs until you have all the skills to go along with it?
The wiki here just gives you way too many ressources, and it is extremely easy for me to get lost.
Is there one central online ressource (a ytb tutorial series, website, program...) where I can just sit the fuck down and do things little by little in a logical manner with someone to guide me? For now I don't have much musical talent/intuition/skills to go full YOLO and it's killing me, it sucks out all the fun in becoming a better musician.
Thanks for your help guys/girls , I'll really appreciate it :)
