I've had a guitar for 5 years now. I've never learned properly, have been in and out of the Yousician lessons, and wasted lots of time thinking I'll do so in the future. I do know basics of strings and strumming and have been stuck on a generic C,Em,D,G progression and making it do with singing. I mostly like singing for myself, quite a lot, and that's the primary reason I want to play an instrument so I can complement it with the singing. I feel like I've given it years and have not been disciplined with it.
Now at this point, I'm faced with a difficult choice, to either continue with the guitar, discipline myself to learn it or move to the keyboard, which has always seemed very interesting to me but I just haven't had access. I have a keyboard at the office and it's been inviting me for days now. I feel like I can only do justice to one instrument at a time, and it feels like I might enjoy singing with the keyboard more than the guitar. However, I might be naive thinking that it might be easier to learn so also don't want to fall into the situation of not knowing either.
I really like music, want to make some, and mostly just sing for myself with an instrument (or more at a later stage). Could really use some help and guidance from you, thanks!
