I’ve messed around with learning an instrument (really want to play the harmonica) but I struggle anytime the beat changes. Even tapping a pen on the table I can do 1234 or -2-4 but the switch from 1234 to -2-4 and back to 1234 causes me to lose it after a few cycles. Do I just need to practice with a beat more? Should I start music with spoons or something to learn a beat, or will it come if I just force myself through months of practice?
