Took piano lessons when I was a kid, learned a little bit of sight reading but quickly fell out of pocket with lessons when I was around 10 or 12.
After that I played only by ear or by reading chord progressions. Took a bit of a break because my family sold their piano. Just bought my first house and an upright piano that I’m very excited about.
Unfortunately every time I sit down to play I find myself playing the same cord progressions over and over again. I know how to read chords but I am terrible at reading sheet music. I’m not sure how to break out of it but I would love to start writing again.
Any suggestions?
