So I'm currently a vocalist in a band where we usually play pop songs although sometimes we also play other genres. I bought a keyboard and have been self-studying for almost a year now. I mostly studied chords so I can almost instantly contribute to our band and so that I can also sing while playing. As we all know, most pop songs have the same basic chords all through out that is why I'm trying to figure out how to kind of spice up the chords of a song on the spot for it to not be bland or too repetitive?. Can anyone give me me tips on how to?
*Im from the Philippines so sorry for any grammatical errors :D
