Hi everyone, I know this question may be asked frequently, but which instrument should I dedicate taking lessons to? I've already decided that early next year, I'm going to start taking lessons in one or the other. But I can't afford to do both. I'm 21 and I have been self teaching the guitar since I was about 13 and it has, overall, just been OK. I'm not terrible, but I'm certainly not great. I was thinking that taking lessons might set me a better path and push me forward. On the other hand, I'm really interested in getting better at music theory and composing and the piano is best for that, for obvious reasons. I also would like to learn read music. Which do you all think would be best? Stick to the guitar and just get better with that or learn piano?
Thanks for any replies.
