For 9 years, I took casual piano lessons, essentially progressing through the Piano Adventures Series and learning recital songs. During years 8 & 9, I took piano more seriously and transitioned from Piano Adventures to actual repertoire (Bach, Mozart, etc.). Sadly, I had to choose between piano and orchestra in high school, and I chose the latter.
Now, as a slightly depressed college student who needs a temporary escape from life, I had an overwhelming urge to pick up piano again. After some brief research, I purchased a copy of Czerny Op.599 and "First Lessons in Bach Vol. 2066" to restart my piano career. So far, these books have been great in meeting my needs as far as difficulty level.
When I quit piano, I was playing at around a level 7-8 (using this video as a reference).
My question is, what path should I take (Series of Books, Pieces, etc.) to relearn the piano after so many years and as someone who has playing experience? (And to hopefully advance my playing further than it was when I stopped)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
