Different ways of phrasing this question:
-
What makes you choose one pack over another?
-
What compels you to go explore certain preset packs/sound designers' wares?
-
What do you value most in a preset pack?
-
What makes a preset pack "good"?
-
What would make you return to a sound designer's site to purchase additional packs?
Obviously the quality of the presets is important. But before you even buy it, what do you look for? Is it the price? The quality of the audio demos? The artwork? How the packs are organized? The namebrand-ness (like, are you more likely to buy packs from recognized producers like Loopmasters over some rando's packs on the web)? How well the packs fit with the genres you try to make? How diverse each pack's offerings are? Etc.
I ask because I'd like to start offering my own presets for sale, and want to know how best to go about it. Trying to do a little market research :) All opinions welcome. Thanks!
