I primarily use FL Studio to produce, but a particular aspect of the DAW isn't satisfactory for my needs as a performer. This is that you cannot use a mic without using an ASIO driver. This would not ordinarily be a problem, but complications arise with the fact that the 1/8 jack on my laptop is broken, and I use an external sound card for hooking up to mixers, etc. Because of the aforementioned issue, it is impossible for me to use the soundcard and a mic through FL simultaneously. I am wondering if using Ableton for performance may help with this. Thanks
