As the title states, I would like to know if it is technically "legal" to remix a song you do not have the rights to if you do not release it? Furthermore, could you get in trouble for such if you were to try and get the legal rights to it by sending the remix you have already made to the record company, artists, etc... and asking for permission? Thanks!
