After first hearing Barbarito Torres, I acquired a Cuban laúd. Unfortunately I'm not sure how best to start learning to play it. The only relevant book I could find specific to the laúd is "Estudio Armónico del Laúd" which is really just a chord book. I've never been good at learning music by ear, but I can read sheet music just fine. For example I used to play a lot of Irish traditional music that I learned off sheet music and tabs off Mudcat etc., and Greek bouzouki/baglamas music from sheet music collections and the occasional YouTube video.
Is there a good site or book relevant for laúd music you can recommend? Cuban son/punto guajiro obviously, but salsa, cumbia, and other Latin styles that would carry over well would all work for me.
